The term you're looking for is ';superscript.'; You can do this one of two ways:

1. Select the text to raise, right click, choose Font, and check the superscript box.

Have you tried, Insert -%26gt; Footnote?
Go to View, Header and Footer then choose the 3rd icon from the left in the dialog box that pops up to switch between header and footer. You can insert page number, actual footnotes, the date, your name, anything you want. It is a great tool!
To include a footnote, just double click near the very bottom of the page. That should open the footnote.

To add page number, go to Insert-%26gt; Page Number.
