If you are footnoting the entire sentence, as you seem to be doing here, footnote after the period. If you are footnoting a particular word, such as ';that';, footnote after that word and before the period.Should the footnote go before or after the period in a sentence?
Chicago Manual of Style recommends period then footnote mark:
