What does the word 'Ibid, etc' mean when placed in a footnote?

Does it mean it is from the same book and page as the above footnote?

Here is the example;

It means from the same source as the previous one. If it has no page number just ibid then it is from exactly the same place but you can have, say ibid. 47 which means from the same source as the previous one but this time on page 47

You might also see idem which means that a source has the same author as the previous one listed in a bibliography. In older works you will also see things like loc. cit. (in the place cited) and op. cit. (in the work cited) but these Latin abbreviations are no longer recommended.What does the word 'Ibid, etc' mean when placed in a footnote?
it means to see the immediately previous source
It means exactly what you think it means. If you cite the same source twice in a row, you use the word ';Ibid.'; It's Latin (ibidem) meaning ';the same place.';
