Why do we spend so much time discussing a woman who will only be a minor footnote in history?

Sarah Palin seems to have started a storm of dialogue but will have only ';15 minutes'; of fame. There is absolutely no chance that voters would put someone so unqualified into such a high office. Why spend so much time back-and-forth on someone we have come to learn has been so dishonest (to say nothing of bitter, vindictive, and uninformed!) and who will soon be forgotten after the first week of November? (It kind of reminds me of the pet rock; here today, gone tomorrow!)Why do we spend so much time discussing a woman who will only be a minor footnote in history?

I don't know that common sense is a prerequisite for voting in the general election. If it were, I kind of doubt that Bush would have been elected 2X. I am worried that there are enough right wing nutjobs out there that will vote for her just because she thinks that the Iraq War was ';a task given from God.'; or that God told her that she should build a natural gas pipeline. I'm convinced that both she and Bush both heard wrong. God would have told them that ';thou shalt not kill.';
Because the race is close, she'd be a heartbeat away from the Presidency (not to mention a bad heartbeat), and her superior is that much closer to death (3 times cancer and heart problems anyone?). That's why. Plus scandals are way too fun to NOT talk about.
Because you are wrong. Most of us are excited about having a real mover and shaker in the WHite HOuse. She is not afraid of the old political machine.
Because she has set the political world on fire. She will beat Hillary in 2012.





How do you call her unqualified with a straight face? Obama is incredibly unqualified at the top of the Dem ticket.
Oh please,Obama is one of the most unqualified,inexperienced candidates for president. Half the country suffers from Obama fatigue.
