Can you show me the alt + whatever number to produce the little floating number for creating a footnote?

Then doing the same at the bottom of the page to document it?Can you show me the alt + whatever number to produce the little floating number for creating a footnote?
In Microsoft Word use:

ctrl+shift+= to superscript

ctrl+= to subscriptCan you show me the alt + whatever number to produce the little floating number for creating a footnote?
It would generally be an option in your Word Processing or other software. Type the characters you want - like H2O, then reformat the 2.

1. Highlight the number (select it with your cursor, hold the left button down over the numbers/letters you want to change)

2. Select the Format option

3. Change the Font to what you want. In this case Superscript (over the line) and you have the symbol for water.

There are other options you can perform on the characters you select - change the color, subscript (below the line), strike through, etc. It depends on the software of course which options are available. If it's a character you will use often, you can also cut and paste once you've got it formatted.

Hope this helps.
