Is it possible to increase the footnote area in Microsoft Word?

i want to increase the area so that footnotes don't have to be split between pages when they get too long.Is it possible to increase the footnote area in Microsoft Word?
I don't think footnotes have a specific area size. They're sized to fit the space left on the page (minus the footer). If you put a reference to a large footnote early on the page, the entire footnote should appear (up to the point where the reference would move to the next page, of course).

If your footnotes are regularly getting cut across pages, maybe you're trying to put too much into them.

Hope that helps. Is it possible to increase the footnote area in Microsoft Word?
Use an Endnote instead,

Footnotes are small for a very good reason.!!! They're suppose to be 1 or 2 lines max, when used correctly.
