How many spaces do I put after a footnote?

If it was like this :


[1] Something something something something.





Will it be one space after the ], two spaces, or none?





Also if I'm writing a personal narrative, and there is a footnote on each page, on page one is it supposed to be [1], [2] on page two, etc? Or just if I have one footnote on each page it'll all be [1]?How many spaces do I put after a footnote?
It's 1 space, and it doesn't matter how you present the footnotes, as long as it looks seperate from the text. But if i were u i would put [1] then [2], as having [1] at the bottom of every page gets a bit repetative, but if you were using the first way, there would be no reason to number them, as they're on the same page, so use a *
